Lip filler in Singapore

Lip filler uses hyaluronic acid, a substance that occurs naturally in the body, to add subtle volume, definition or hydration to the lips. Done well it looks like your own lips on a good day, not a different mouth. In Singapore, aesthetic clinics sit under the regulation of the Ministry of Health, so lip filler is performed by registered doctors, and many local clinics favour a natural, balanced result. Here is what to expect locally, the honest risks, and indicative Singapore prices.

Good to know · Lip filler is an injectable medical aesthetic treatment. This page is general information, not medical advice. Results vary between individuals and are not guaranteed, the effect is temporary, and treatment should be carried out by a registered doctor after a proper consultation. Prices are indicative ranges only.

What to expect

A short, considered appointment

The consultation

A doctor discusses the shape and amount you want, your lip anatomy and what is realistic. A good practitioner will sometimes advise less than you ask for, or none at all. Many Singapore clinics start with a single millilitre or less for a first treatment and build gradually.

The treatment

Numbing cream and fillers containing local anaesthetic keep most people comfortable. The injections themselves take around fifteen to thirty minutes. The lips are shaped and gently massaged as the product is placed.

The result

Lips look fuller straight away, though initial swelling settles over a week or two to the true result. Hyaluronic acid lip filler typically lasts around six to twelve months before a top up is considered. Results vary.

Subtle enhancement
SGD 600 to 900

Around half a millilitre to one millilitre, indicative for Singapore.

Full millilitre
SGD 800 to 1,200

A standard syringe with a registered doctor. Premium clinics may sit above this range.

Top up review
SGD 400 to 700

A smaller refresh between full treatments. Confirm exactly what is included.

All figures are indicative ranges for guidance only. They vary by clinic, the product used, the amount injected and the practitioner. Always confirm the price and what is included with the provider before booking.

Risks and downtime

Honest about what is involved

Downtime is usually short but the lips are highly visible, so expect swelling, tenderness and the real chance of bruising for several days, with the true shape settling over a week or two. Possible risks include lumps or asymmetry that may need adjusting, cold sore flare ups if you are prone to them, and infection. The most serious and rare risk is filler entering a blood vessel, which can compromise the blood supply to tissue, so it matters that an experienced medical injector treats you and keeps hyaluronidase, the enzyme that dissolves hyaluronic acid filler, to hand. Results are temporary, vary between people and are not guaranteed.

Good to know · Ask whether your doctor is registered, which filler is used, whether they keep hyaluronidase on site, and what to do if you have concerns afterwards. A practitioner who is willing to inject conservatively is a good sign.
