A medical aesthetic treatment. Profhilo is an injectable, stabilised hyaluronic acid that spreads through the skin to hydrate and stimulate collagen and elastin, and is best given by a trained medical doctor. This page is general information, not medical advice. Suitability, results and risks vary between people. Always consult a qualified practitioner and confirm current details with the provider before booking.
Hong Kong took to bio remodelling early, and the standard of injecting here is high.
Profhilo is not a filler and not a skin booster in the classic sense. It is a bio remodelling treatment that uses a high concentration of hyaluronic acid placed in a few precise points so it flows beneath the skin, hydrating and prompting the body to make more collagen and elastin. The result is firmer, fresher looking skin rather than added volume or contour. Hong Kong has a dense field of medical aesthetic clinics, many in Central, Causeway Bay and Tsim Sha Tsui, where Profhilo is widely offered alongside other injectables. The treatment suits skin that looks tired, crepey or lax rather than skin that has lost shape. A good doctor will tell you plainly whether your concern calls for Profhilo, a filler, or something else entirely.
After numbing cream, the doctor places a small number of injections at set points on each side of the face, usually five per side, using the recognised bio aesthetic points technique. The product then spreads on its own. The appointment is short, often fifteen to thirty minutes.
Small raised bumps at the injection points are expected and usually settle within a day. Mild redness, tenderness and the chance of a bruise are common. Most people return to normal life the same day.
The standard plan is two sessions about four weeks apart, with results building over the following weeks and lasting up to around six to nine months. Many people maintain with a session twice a year.
Common and usually temporary effects include the raised injection bumps, redness, tenderness, swelling and bruising. Less commonly there can be infection or a longer lasting lump at an injection point. As with any injectable there is a rare risk of vascular complication if a vessel is involved, which is why a trained medical injector and correct technique matter. Profhilo improves skin quality and firmness but does not add volume or lift, so it will disappoint anyone expecting a filler result. It is generally avoided in pregnancy and breastfeeding and where there is a relevant allergy. Results vary and are never guaranteed. A responsible doctor sets honest expectations and recommends a different treatment, or none, when that suits you better.

These figures are indicative ranges and not quotes. Pricing depends on the clinic, the doctor's experience and whether the genuine product is used. With Profhilo, the doctor's technique and honest assessment matter far more than the headline price, and an unusually low quote is worth questioning. Confirm current prices with each clinic.
