Polynucleotides in Hong Kong

Hong Kong took to regenerative skin treatments early, and polynucleotide injectables, often known by the brand Rejuran, are now well established across Central and Tsim Sha Tsui. These purified DNA fragments, derived from salmon, are injected to improve skin quality, hydration and resilience over a course rather than to add volume. This is a treatment about skin health, not reshaping. Here is what to expect locally, the honest risks, indicative prices and how to choose well.

Medical disclaimer · Polynucleotide injectables are a medical treatment. This page is general information, not medical advice. Results vary and are not guaranteed, build gradually over a course and are not permanent. Treatment should follow an in person assessment by a qualified practitioner. Prices are indicative ranges only.

What to expect

From consultation to result

The treatment

Polynucleotides are injected into the skin through a series of fine micro injections, or sometimes with a cannula, to support repair and improve texture and hydration. A consultation confirms whether your concern suits polynucleotides or whether another approach fits better.

The cadence

This is a course treatment, usually three to four sessions spaced around two to four weeks apart, with results building over the weeks that follow. A maintenance session every several months helps preserve the effect.

The result

Skin that looks better hydrated, smoother and more resilient, with some improvement in fine texture and tone. It does not add volume or replace filler, and the change is gradual and natural rather than dramatic.

Risks and downtime

Honest about what is involved

Polynucleotide treatments are generally well tolerated, but they involve multiple injections so honesty about that helps. Expect small bumps, redness, mild swelling and the occasional bruise at the injection points, usually settling within a few days. Because the product is derived from salmon, anyone with a fish allergy should raise it clearly, and treatment is avoided in that case. As with any injection there is a small risk of infection, so technique and clinic hygiene matter. Results are gradual and a single session will not transform the skin, so be wary of anyone promising an instant or dramatic change. Pregnant or breastfeeding women are usually advised to wait.

Good to know · Ask which polynucleotide product is used and how it differs from a skin booster or filler, who performs the injections, how many sessions they recommend and what realistic improvement looks like for your skin. If you have a fish allergy, say so before anything is planned.
